A different day, by Andrei Anastasie Gogu
It is said that little things make us happy and I think that is true. Every time I get a new computer game or a certain present that I have longed for, I am really, really happy and enthusiastic; every time my father manages to come home earlier from work and we play football – I am in the seventh heaven! But, I keep hearing grown-ups, like my parents or my teachers that we should be happy and thankful for the simple facts we are healthy and able to go to school or to work. Well, I think that is also true, but, in my opinion, grown-ups forget to enjoy those little things that can make their lives so much easier!
I often wonder how things will be as an adult and I always tell myself I won`t forget to do all the things that my parents don`t have time for at this moment: those apparently unimportant things, which make others happy and which? give us a feeling of satisfaction!
First of all, if I were a grown-up, just for one day, I would definitely spend a lot of time with my family. I would play with my children, if I had them, I would help my dear ones, I would do everything possible to see them smiling and enjoying their time with me. I think I would take my time to listen to my children`s problems, ideas, issues or thoughts. ?It would be really interesting to see the world through the eyes of a grown-up, but I wouldn`t try to change those around me, although there are so many things I don`t like about grown-ups and the world they live in. Still?what could I do by myself and in such a short time? I would probably try to change the others by setting an example, I would try to make the other adults see that family and friends are the ones that matter!
Until those days, I am decided to enjoy my life as a child, because it is so much easier!
